Wedding (Dress) Destination

Needless to say, Indian weddings are grand. They are literally LOUD!

Overwhelming emotions, dancing as the baaraatis, lip smacking delicacies, floral decor, loud and colour flooded clothes!

Clothes reminds me of something.

I have literally flooded my social media handles with photographs in this outfit. Be it my Facebook or Instagram, I have literally bombarded everyone with this dress.

Wore it to my sister’s engagement a couple of weeks ago and the compliments seem never ending ; hence decided to pen down this post.

So here comes the story.

I bought it from the New Bombay Bazaar. Surat, Gujrat. (Price ? – Keep guessing)

This market is quite near to the famous Ring Road and took us about 4 hours to reach from Mumbai.

To say it’s a huge market, is an understatement. Cause its gigantic!

Divided into A-Z rows, the rows until H are not that impressive. Each shop offers the same collection as it’s previous one with a marginal difference in the price.

So as you walk till the H row, check out the collection around and see if it matches your taste. We bought a few sarees there and headed to the H row.

It was our first shop in the H row and the last.

4 ladies. 2 hours. Rs.30,000+ shopping (Includes my gown, a readymade party wear anarkali, 4 kurtas, 3 blouse piece , 3 backless designer blouses and what not)

Great deal we say!

As we were browsing through the anarkalis, we just couldn’t finalize on one. And not that we were confused between a couple of them. We were almost confused between 4-5 numbers. We girls understand the difficulty of finalizing one dress among 5 equally other good ones, isn’t it?

We also loved the collection of casual kurtas – different colours, textures.

The best part about shopping here was the price. I am not exaggerating here, but we literally got those dresses at almost 1/10th of the price, had we purchased back in Mumbai.

So if you are looking to buy bulk sarees and looking for designer lehengas, at low price points, you know Surat is your answer.

Yes Yes coming back to that cute aspect of the post, the cute hair accessory? That vibrant hair accessory is by Pin Up Accessories . P.s. It’s 100% handmade 🙂

Sometimes, your beautiful dress just needs a simple accessory to accentuate it further. Pin Up Accessory helps you with just that! That special touch when you want to switch to your vivacious side!

A nyaani post right? Let me know if you’ve ever been to Surat for shopping, this market or any other market for that matter and how was your experience.

Also let me know in the comments below if you have any questions and I shall be happy to solve them!
